What is a Scope 12 SCIOS inspection?

In a Scope 12 inspection, Beemster does a periodic inspection of a preventive nature. This inspection is a complete inspection of the solar installation, consisting of two ways. The First Special Inspection (EBI) is necessary when an installation has never had a Scope 12 inspection before. The Periodic Inspection (PI) takes place every 3 to 5 years.

Solar panels are becoming increasingly popular and, as a result, more installations are being installed, including many of poor quality. As a result, the risk of fire hazard increases significantly and it is necessary to have these installations inspected by our inspectors to ensure the safety of the PV installation. The Scope 12 inspection is carried out using checklists based on NEN 1010:2015+C1:2016, NEN 3140+A3:2019, SCIOS Technical Document 18 (if applicable) and NEN-EN-IEC 62446:2016/A1:2018.

Scope inspection

In the case of a First Special Inspection, a report is first drawn up by our inspector containing findings from the inspection. Should the installation not meet safety requirements, a re-inspection will take place once all findings have been implemented on the installation.
During the Periodic Installation, our Beemster inspector draws up a professional report that concludes what the condition of the installation is and whether there are any repair points. The report includes an approval or findings that need to be repaired.
